We would recommend Sandy Barton without reservation as an exceptionally talented home builder. Sandy was very thorough in explaining the various steps in building and he clearly laid out our options along the way and the costs associated with each choice.

I have built a home from the ground up, have remodeled one home twice, remodeled two condos and another home. Not one experience has come close to being as done as, has this one. Sandy is just excellent at managing people and projects. He seems extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of homebuilding.

Sandy assisted from the very beginning. Helping to evaluate design ideas and options, develop preliminary and final pricing to help us achieve our goals in a very expert professional manner. Sandy's on site skills may be his strongest asset. Unlike other island contractors who shift the project off to a site guy after the contract is signed, Sandy's in full time, hands on management. The results clearly show it.

We hired him not because he was the least expensive, (he wasn't) but because his proposal was by far the most detailed and comprehensive. And we were both drawn to him as a human being who was forthright and personable and honest, not to mention a hard worker.

In my 69 plus years, I have worked with many contractors, both residential and commercial. Never in any of these building projects have I enjoyed the camaraderie I have with Sands Barton.
